Unexpected Inspiration

You never know where you'll be when you see something that inspires you. While spending an evening at SeaWorld last week, I happened to look down and noticed the pattern on a nearby walkway.

I don't know about you, but I see one of my favorite free motion quilting patterns!

  1. Not to get gross or anything, but when I sit and "think" in the bathroom at work, I look at the floor tile and imagine block patterns :) Inspiration is everywhere...it's up to us to see it!

  2. Beautiful and yes! I got inspired by the tread on the bottom of someone's shoe a few weeks ago! :)

  3. I will admit to slyly taking pictures of floors and tiles with my camera phone different places I go :)

  4. I could see this as a quilt top design too! Perhaps I'd make the larger ones white and the smaller circles different solids.

  5. can see why it caught your eye, yes it would look lovely as a quilted pattern

  6. And I like how this one has large and small "pebbles." So funny, you never know where inspiration will struck. Before the age of camera phones I used to sketch a bunch of things on receipts and napkins and had stacks of little scribblings every where (ok in a box) I couldn't just leave them laying around :)
